FOR THE

WELCOME BACK

Cheetah /PAJAMA PARTY!

Hello fellow retreaters!

Retreat is fast approaching.  A Welcome Back Pajama Party !  That's right.  You can plan on wearing  your fuzzy slippers and PJ's (Cheetah fabrics would be most fabulous!) for as many days as you like.  Relax, get some sewing done and let Chad do the cooking.

Let's see some of those crazy things you consider "Bed Wear". We want some stylin goin on!  Polka dots, stripes, Cheetah wear, crazy sox, foolish footwear and cuddly bears are acceptable.  No teddies please, we are looking for full coverage here. There will be prizes.

Sunday Night Project and a Mystery Quilt. (Kits from The Quilted Forest will be available for both) you can also take mini classes offered throughout the weekend to make smaller projects.

For those coming on Wednesday this will also be a time to finish up your UFO’s or just projects you have been wanting to finish. Bring all of your quilting items with you so that you can make yourself at home.

We all speak "Quilt" so communication should be easy.

You can arrive anytime after 7 am Wednesday and stay through until Sunday at 2:00 pm (Weekend Retreat) or Wednesday after brunch (Class Retreat) depending on your departure schedule. If you are arriving on Sunday will we welcome you at 3:00 pm.

The Quilted Forest will once again bring fabric, kits, notions and quilting supplies for your enjoyment. Their shop will be open and available to all of you who are participating in retreat. Shelley will bring in more fabric than an addict can handle along with all sorts of kits, notions, books and patterns. D’Ann, Shelley’s side kick, will be there as well.

D’ann is our traveling salesman who peddles kits and other quilting items. She also demonstrates many items as she travels through the quilting rooms. We appreciate all the The Quilted Forest Shop brings to us. It is always so great to have them on site.

Your meals will be made for you by Chef Chad.
Our menu will once again be a Brunch - Dinner meal schedule. If you have dietary concerns please let our chef, Kevin, know. All meals will be covered with the exception of the first Wednesday. We will also have a snack table so feel free to bring some treats to share with your fellow retreaters.

Pedicures, manicures, haircuts and more await you. These extras will be offered throughout the weekend

You will need to bring linens and towels. Each room has a queen bed and several standard twins.

Show and Tell will be Saturday night . We hope you will all participate. We love to see what projects everyone has completed during the year.

We are also having a costume party for those who feel so inclined. Since we have an unusual theme you can dress in any costume you want. We hope to see many of you participate. THERE WILL BE PRIZES!.

We are looking forward to fun filled days, great meals and wonderful and productive sewing sessions.

Serpentine

This is a fast and fun project – and it is free. Three Fs :-). The Tonga Sky View batiks were perfect for it, yet you can choose other Timeless Treasures batiks for a more vibrant look.

The quilt blocks are very simple so the fabrics can shine. Serpentine‘s design is achieved by alternating the direction of the blocks every other row. There are other possibilities and by rotating the blocks you will come up with surprising designs.
